Biography

Alberto holds professorship at the Conservatori Municipal de Música de Barcelona, ​​and he was born in León (Spain), where he began his musical studies under Margarita Morais, Pierrette Saint-Geremie, and  Jose Ramon Hevia (Oviedo).

 

He obtained a higher degree in violin at the Conservatorio Superior de Música del Liceo de Barcelona, ​​​​being awarded a scholarship in all his courses, under the tutelage of maestro Gonçal Comellas.

He develops an intense concert activity in the field of chamber music, playing in several auditoriums in the national territory, Germany, France, Russia, Italy, Japan or Slovakia, obtaining critical and public success.

 

He has recorded for Radio Nacional de España, Slovak Radio, Catalunya Radio, Russia TV, Temps Records, Solfa Recordings.

Highlights his collaboration with the pianist and composer Carles Cases, with whom he has participated as soloist violin and viola in the recording of his latest CDs: "Carles Casas dice Llach", Espirituals, Minimal and Araguaia (Enderrock 2015 award for best classical music album , and critics' award for best contemporary music album).

 

He is a founding member of the Friedrich Piano Trio, as well as the Unesco Barcelona Orchestra under the direction of Gonçal Comellas, and with which he debuted as a soloist at the Santes Creus Festival (2016).

Performances as a soloist with the Orchestra of the Superior Conservatory of Music of the Liceo de Barcelona, ​​Nobilis Ensemble (Russia), Unesco Barcelona Orchestra, Cadí Chamber Orchestra, OGB, Carles Cases Ensembre, Orquesta Juventudes Musicales de León, Chamber Orchestra of Vic.

Together with Carles Cases and Sveta Trushka, they form the "Carles Cases Trio", accumulating numerous performances, and recently invited to the "Kyoto International Music Festival", from which they will make a concert tour in Japan in 2022.

Throughout his training he has received master classes and tips musicians like Liviu Prunaru (soloist and concertmaster of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra of Amsterdam), Oxana Yablonskaya (Juilliard School in New York), Gonçal Comellas (laureate in competitions Carl Flesch Queen Elizabeth London and Brussels), Bruno Canino, Alexander Melnikov, Michel Wagemans, Bruno Canino and Chia Chou (Parnassus Trio) among others.

 

Alberto plays a violin from catalan luthier David Bagué, copy of Guarnerius del Gesu "ex Carrodus" and built in 2008.
